Link Love: Paperwork Edition

by Ryan on January 21, 2011

My week has been jammed packed with paperwork and meetings. Key thing to have when planning a study abroad trip: TIME! I met with my academic advisor, financial aid rep, and my school’s study abroad coordinator all in a 3 day period. I also filled out dozens of forms and I’m still not sure I’m done yet! Exhausting to say the least, without even counting my regular school work and blogging!

Here’s what I’ve been reading this week:

When College Is Not Worth The Money @ Studenomics – As college gets more and more expensive, expect more and more people to question whether the price is worth it. I think the best scenario is to go to college (if you want to be there), but pay as little as possible. Scholarships, working, etc.

Waxing, Screaming and the Bucket List @ Yes I Am Cheap – OK, this doesn’t have a ton to do with personal finance, but the story had me laughing and that’s good enough.

Do Baseball Cards Belong In Your Net Worth? @ Budgets Are Sexy – When I started doing net worth updates, I wasn’t sure if I should include the value of my car. I decided not to because it distorts the “picture” I get from my net worth. Adding that asset would over shadow my student loan debt and prevent me from seeing significant changes over time.

Confessions of an Escort: A Look Into the Life @ Fabulously Broke – I love reading about taboo professions. So much interesting stuff to learn.

Planning any kind of trip can be exhausting but it’s well worth it. Thanks for the mention!
