After dragging my feet carefully considering all of my available options, I’ve finally decided where I’ll be attending school in the fall: Wright State University. It’s a public school with an enrollment of about 20,000 located in the Dayton, Ohio area. This wasn’t an easy decision to make and I’ve been feeling apathetic about college since the novelty of the application process wore off a few months ago. I believe I’ve made the right decision, but I guess only time will tell.
Here are some of my favorite finance articles from the past week or so.
Is There Anything Better Than Passive Income? is something I’d really like to find out. I’m hoping this blog will help me out with this goal. Currently, I’ve made about $6.00.
Struggling with Time Debt is a great post. While I’m not exactly over-committed, I do need to get better at accomplishing tasks more efficiently. Sometimes, a homework assignment that should take 20 minutes to complete ends up taking an hour because I try to get other things done at the same time.
Magazine Ads Led Me To Cancel My Subscription is something I can relate to. I pay $50 a year for an Xbox Live subscription, yet I’m still greeted by tons of ads every time I start up my Xbox 360. Granted, $50 a year isn’t much money. But still, I don’t think I should be fed advertisements when I’m paying for something.
Better Get to Saving if You Want to Be a Millionaire shows just how important it is to start saving now. Please, start a Roth IRA ASAP.
Why do we lie to ourselves? is an interesting question. It’s incredibly easy to justify doing things we know deep down we shouldn’t. People usually know what decisions are harmful, but continue to make them and explain ‘em away.
